Abundant Mindset Can Change Your Life

You want to change your life? Adopt an #abundantmindset. In a previous post, I talked about how to get into the right mindset using meditation, journaling, and patience.

But WHAT is the best mindset to be in if you want to change? An #abundantmindset will set you up to be open to the change and be ready to embrace your dreams. According to an article on, “Discover the Key Traits to an Abundance Mindset” by Angelina Zimmerman, “our mindset determines which road we travel on. One road is paved in scarcity and the other road is filled with abundance…” and we have the power to change which road we’re on.

The scarcity pathway leads to a life not fully lived, overflowing with negative reactions, fear, limiting your life experiences because you always expect the worst.
Taking the path of abundancy means opting to live your life to its fullest by thinking big (not small), knowing there is plenty of everything in the world, including money, love, and opportunities; and embracing change versus fearing change.

That last part hit me like a ton a bricks. Managing my anxiety and panic attacks has brought my struggle with fear to light.
But focusing on embracing abundancy has been a new practice for me.

Just a few months ago, I was really stuck in my job. I wasn’t go anywhere and fast, which was not enjoyable. My attitude was at its worst and that was depressing. It seemed like every door was being closed in my face or I didn’t care enough to try and open it.

Then, one morning when I was driving to work and feeling particularly uninspired, I threw my frustration out to the universe and prayed that if I’m meant to change, please show me how.

A few days later, I received a call from a recruiter asking if I was interested in a position at a different company. And four weeks later, I walked out the doors of the company I’d been at for 19 years to start a new career somewhere else. I trust I manifested this through an abundant mindset and I have no regrets.

Am I perfect at thinking abundantly? No. Sometimes I’m still a sarcastic smart ass who thinks negatively. Do I keep trying? Yes. I see the power having an abundance mindset has had in my life and I can’t wait to see what more is in store.
